Nalbadi, the Son-Free Day Calendar

In Korean folk tradition, Son is a being said to move through the four directions by date and get in the way of people's affairs. On lunar dates ending in 9 or 0 (the 9th, 10th, 19th, 20th, 29th, 30th), Son is said to rise to the sky and be in no direction, so the custom grew of doing big things like moving house or holding a wedding on those days. This page simply relays that tradition; it does not judge which days are good or bad. The decision is always yours.
